Of course Park City is known as a winter ski destination but the summer months offer its residents and visitors more recreational activities than one could ever dream of. Each mountain resort hosts a wide variety of activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, lift rides and alpine slides. But, there are other activities such as concerts, golf, horseback riding, stream fishing, you get the idea. It is a natural setting for a mountain biking paradise! There are more than 160 miles of trails in Park City. The beautiful views of our Wasatch Mountains are incredible and should not be missed. Rent a bike at one of the resorts or at Cole Sport. Utah Olympic Park The Utah Olympic Park near Park City was the site of the 2002 Bobsled, Luge and Ski Jumping competitions. Visitors are treated to a guided tour of the park, athlete training sessions, 70 mile-per-hour bobsled rides, zipline rides, Quicksilver alpine slide rides, Olympic museum, an interactive museum, freestyle aerial and ski jumping shows on saturday at noon and a variety of camps for all ages. Hiking The Park City area is home to many beautiful hiking trails for all levels of ability. Each of the three resorts offer lift serviced hiking in and around their individual trail systems. Whether you prefer hiking along scenic access roads, exploring our mining heritage on pristine trails, or getting a bird's eye view of your planned route down - from the chairlift, you're bound to discover just the right path. If you find yourself on the trail around dusk, you may even spot some mountain wildlife. Lift served access is available from PCMR's PayDay and Town Lifts. So whether you're looking for a quick scenic walk after dinner, a day trip with the family, or a longer more adventurous back-packing trip, Park City is the perfect location to start! Golf Park City Golf Courses The courses in and surrounding Park City offer a variety of challenges and opportunities, both public and private. You'll find beautifully maintained courses, all at over 6000 feet above sea level. Yes, your ball does indeed fly farther!
